Water Project

To be able to have access to a source of clean drinking water is essential for life. Kalahari is well known for its lack of water sources therefore it is a challenge for people to survive here. To actually have a whole ethnic group surviving under such conditions is indeed a miracle. Our water project implies the construction of the adequate infrastructure for storing and transporting water in the desert.

Therefore, we have been building water collection systems that can hold about 10,000 liters (2640 gallons) of water. To these vessels we also attach distribution systems (hoses and expansion vessels) so that the water would be easily used to ensure livelihood and the irrigation of the vegetable gardens.

This project involves quite a large amount of our resources, but it is one of the most important ones. We need people volunteering with technical knowledge and skills, creative and good craftsmen to expand our ability in providing this basic need for life.
